Setting Up an Email Account on an iPhone/iPad
Follow these simple steps to set up an email account on an iPhone/iPad:
Please ensure that you have already created your email account through cPanel. If you’re unsure how to access cPanel please see one of the initial emails you received from us titled ‘Hosting Account Information’.
1. Head to ‘Settings’, click Passwords and Accounts, then click Add Account.
2. Click Other on the Add Account page.
3. Click Add Mail Account.
4. Fill out the required information.
- Name: Name of your email account.
- Email: The email address that you’re setting up your phone with.
- Password: Email account password (Same as the one used to log into webmail).
- Description: This is up to you!
5. Enter the incoming and outgoing server details as follows.
Note: The ‘optional’ Outgoing Mail Server details are required!
How to find the Incoming/Outgoing Host Name: mail.[yourdomainname] or the server name
Example 1: your domain name is abc.com.au > Host name would be: mail.abc.com.au
Example 2: your domain name is xyz.com > Host name would be: mail.xyz.com
Example 3: When you log into cPanel, your URL at the top will have the server name:
For, https://web99.hostingervers.com.au:2083/cpsess9917696170/frontend/paper_lantern/index.html?login=1&post_login=999999
The server name would be: web99.hosting-servers.com.au
If you’re still unsure what you need to enter here, you can also find out this information by logging into your webmail client either through your MyDreamIT account or by heading to [yourdomainame].com.au/webmail & servername.com.au/webmail
Log in and head to Configure Mail Client | Please note we have provided these details in an email titled ‘hosting account information’
- Username: Email address that you’re setting up your phone with.
- Password: Email account password (Same as the one used to log into webmail).
- Outgoing Host Name: mail.[yourdomainname].com.au or the server name.
- Username: Email address that you’re setting up your phone with.
- Password: Email account password (Same as the one used to log into webmail).
If you receive a security warning, you can safely accept this.
Still, having issues getting setup?
-If you have just moved to DreamIT you will need to check your incoming/outgoing hostnames are correct, try setting it to the server name while your DNS updates.
-Check that you have updated your Domain or DNS points to our nameservers,
https://www.whatsmydns.net/ enter your domain and switch the dropdown box to NS then select Search
